Quad LF66 active subwoofer

Description

It is in very good condition, with no dents, scratches or visible damage. It works perfectly and I have not noticed any ageing or problems. The original feet/spikes have been replaced with nicer gold-coloured isolation feet. A 3 metre RCA cable is included.

This is a compact but powerful active subwoofer with dual 150 mm bass drivers in a sealed cabinet. According to the specification, it has 200 W RMS / 450 W peak power, 35–120 Hz frequency response and bass extension down to 30 Hz.

I used it together with EVE SC203 as a 2.1 system. The SC203 has a sub out, so it can be connected with just one RCA cable. In my experience, this subwoofer is more powerful than the official EVE TS107 subwoofer for SC203, while being much more affordable.

It is a very good match for small active monitors, especially EVE SC203. The subwoofer takes over the low bass, so the small speakers no longer need to work so hard in the low frequencies. The overall sound becomes fuller, denser and more detailed. After comparing with friends, we all felt that this setup can compete well with many mid-range 6-inch active monitors, while still being more compact and taking up less desk space.

Great for desktop use, small rooms, music listening or a compact 2.1 system.
