- Contract – e.g., to manage your membership, your ads, and Buyer Protection with shipping.
- Consent – e.g., for cookies and advertising via third parties.
- Legal obligation – e.g., reporting to the Tax Agency according to DAC7 and accounting requirements.
- Legitimate interest – e.g., to prevent fraud, ensure operations, and develop the service.
How do we process your personal data?
To provide advertising services, we need to process your personal data. Processing means all actions that can be taken regarding personal data, regardless of whether they are performed automatically or not. Below are examples of how we collect your personal data, for which purposes we process them, and how long they are stored.
Visitors
Hifitorget.se uses Google Analytics 4 to collect basic visitor data such as page views, geographic location, and technical information about browsers and screen resolution. Collected data is used as a basis for further development of the platform.
Members
As a registered member, we use your personal data so you can log in and so buyers or sellers can contact you. Email addresses are not published on the website. We also store the IP address used when posting an ad as a security measure against fraud. Personal data for registered members is saved during the membership period.
We also use your email address for verification, password reset, and notifications when ads are answered.
Personal data that may be saved upon registration or use of additional services:
- Name
- Phone number
- Email address
- IP address
- National ID number / personal number (when using e-identification or Buyer Protection with shipping)
- Postal address (for Buyer Protection with shipping)
Your personal data is stored as long as you have an active account. When an account is closed, the data is permanently deleted. Deletion may take several months if there are legal requirements (e.g., accounting or DAC7 reporting).
You have the right to request the personal data stored with us. Use the contact information below for requests.
Storage of personal data
All data used for hifitorget.se is stored within the EU. Log files containing IP addresses are saved for up to 60 days. Data required for accounting is saved for up to seven years according to the Accounting Act. Data related to DAC7 reporting is saved according to the Tax Agency's requirements.
Sharing of personal data
hifitorget.se never sells your personal data. However, they may be shared with selected parties when necessary to provide our services or comply with legal requirements.
For visitor statistics and advertising, Google (Analytics, AdSense) and SetupAd are used. These parties may process your data in accordance with their respective privacy policies. Read more at Google and SetupAd. Revenue from ads finances the operation of hifitorget.se.
If you choose the Buyer Protection with shipping option, your data is shared with Rocker Pay and DHL. If your sales via Rocker Pay are covered by DAC7, control information is forwarded to the Tax Agency.
When registering or logging in with e-identification, data is shared with Criipto.
Personal data may also be disclosed to the Police upon written request in connection with investigations of suspected fraud.
International transfers
When using Google and SetupAd, personal data may be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA. Such transfers occur according to the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses (SCC) to ensure an adequate level of protection.
Profiling and automated decision-making
When displaying ads via third parties, profiling may occur, i.e., ads are adapted based on your behavior and previous visits. This only occurs with your consent to cookies.
Your rights
As a registered user, you have the following rights under GDPR:
- Right of access to your data
- Right to correction of incorrect data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restriction of processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing, including for direct marketing
- Right to withdraw consent at any time
