Terms of Use

The terms of use for hifitorget.se are effective from May 16, 2026.

Introduction

For hifitorget.se to be a safe and secure marketplace for used hi-fi equipment, you need to follow the terms of use. Hifitorget.se does not own any of the products advertised on the website and is not a party to agreements between sellers and buyers. In the event of a dispute, buyers and sellers need to contact each other to find a solution. By using hifitorget.se, you accept the applicable Terms of Use and commit to following them.

Processing of Personal Data

The data controller is Adspace Nordic AB (org. no. 559229-9332).

Adspace Nordic AB is responsible for the processing of your personal data that occurs when you use hifitorget.se. Our privacy policy contains detailed information about which personal data we process, the purpose of the processing, and your rights.

Advertising on hifitorget.se

When advertising on hifitorget.se, you must follow the rules for advertising. Also read the advice for safe trading on hifitorget.se

Purchases Between Private Individuals

On hifitorget.se, both businesses and private individuals can advertise. When you buy an item from another private individual, consumer protection laws do not apply, which means, among other things, that you do not have any right of withdrawal, right of exchange, or open purchase. If you use the Buyer Protection with shipping service, you enter into a separate agreement with a third party that provides the service. Hifitorget.se is not responsible for the service or any disputes that arise between buyer and seller when using the Buyer Protection with shipping service.

Supporter Membership (Subscription)

Hifitorget.se offers an optional paid membership, Supporter, which gives you certain benefits in exchange for a monthly or annual fee. The current fee, billing period and included benefits are always shown on /my/membership at the time of subscription. Payments are handled by Stripe; Hifitorget.se does not store any card details.

Benefits

As a Supporter, you receive a Supporter badge on your profile, a limited number of bumps per calendar month, a limited number of highlights per calendar quarter, more frequent digests of saved searches and price drops, and reduced advertising. Exact quotas and benefits are shown on /my/membership.

We may change the content and scope of the benefits over time, for example to develop the service, adapt technical features or adjust the offering. Changes that materially affect your membership are communicated in advance. If you do not accept such a change, you have the right to cancel the membership before the change takes effect.

Unused benefits cannot be saved, exchanged for cash or transferred to another period or another user.

Cancellation

You can cancel your membership at any time via /my/membership. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and you retain your benefits until then. You can undo the cancellation as long as the period has not yet ended.

Renewal

The membership renews automatically at each new billing period, monthly or annually depending on the option you have chosen, until you cancel it. Before each renewal, the current period, price and next renewal date are shown on /my/membership.

Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal when subscribing to a service at a distance. By completing the purchase you consent to the Supporter service being delivered immediately. If you withdraw from the purchase after the service has begun, Hifitorget.se may be entitled to charge for the part of the service you have had access to up until you inform us that you wish to exercise the right of withdrawal.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, contact us within 14 days of subscribing. Information on how to exercise the right of withdrawal is provided in connection with the purchase and in our terms.

Failed payments

If a renewal attempt fails, Stripe may make new payment attempts during a short period. During this time you may retain your Supporter benefits. If payment continues to fail, the membership is terminated.

Price and terms changes

We reserve the right to adjust the membership price, content and terms. Changes that materially affect you are communicated in advance. You have the right to cancel the membership free of charge before the change takes effect.

Price changes apply no earlier than the next billing period, unless otherwise explicitly stated and accepted by you.

Discontinuation of the service

We reserve the right to discontinue the Supporter membership in whole or in part. If we terminate the membership early, any unused portion of an already paid period is refunded pro rata.

Refunds on account suspension

If we suspend your account due to a material violation of these terms or misuse of the service, no refund is made for remaining membership time.

Messaging Function

Hifitorget.se offers an internal messaging function that allows buyers and sellers to communicate directly on the platform. As an advertiser, you can choose to use the messaging function or to be contacted via email. The setting is managed under your profile. When using the messaging function, the following applies:

Access: Hifitorget.se reserves the right to review conversations to ensure compliance with these terms, prevent fraud, handle reports, and protect users from illegal or inappropriate activity.
Locking of conversations: We may lock conversations that violate our terms or in cases of suspected fraud or other abuse.
Prohibited content: It is not permitted to use the messaging function for spam, harassment, threats, fraud attempts, or sharing illegal material.
Blocking: You have the option to block other users to prevent further contact.
Reporting: If you experience inappropriate behaviour, you can report a conversation to us for review.

Messages sent via the function are stored on our servers. See our privacy policy for more information about how your data is handled.

Third-Party Information

We display certain additional information in connection with your ad if you have specified it. Additional information is retrieved from external systems provided by third parties such as hitta.se and hifitorget.se assumes no responsibility for any inaccuracies. Please check that the additional information is handled correctly and feel free to contact us if you discover any inaccuracies.

Right to Use Uploaded Material

By uploading images, text, or other material to hifitorget.se, you confirm that you have the right to use the material and that it does not infringe on any third party's rights. If you use material belonging to someone else (e.g., images from manufacturers or other websites), you are responsible for obtaining permission to do so.

You retain all intellectual property rights to your material. By publishing an ad, you grant hifitorget.se a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and process the material for the purpose of providing and improving the service — for example, display in search results, categorization, and image format adaptation.

The material may also be displayed on third-party services such as hifishark.com to increase the visibility of your ad.

Hifitorget.se may use metadata (title, price, category, date) and thumbnail images from your ads for historical search and price statistics, even after an ad has been deactivated.

When you delete your account, all data is removed, including historical data.

Limitation of Liability

Hifitorget.se is a website that allows users to advertise, sell, and buy used goods. You cannot assume that a sale or purchase of an item is legal merely because it is advertised on Hifitorget.se. Hifitorget.se is not responsible for the advertised item and not for any damage resulting from missing or delayed ad responses, incorrect information in the ad text, or service interruptions. For transactions made directly between buyer and seller, hifitorget.se has no control over or involvement in the transaction. When using the Buyer Protection with shipping service, hifitorget.se facilitates the transaction via Rocker Pay and has reporting obligations under DAC7.

Abuse

We may restrict or close user accounts to limit access to hifitorget.se, remove ads that are on the website, and activate technical measures to prevent you from using hifitorget.se if:

we determine that you are causing problems for hifitorget.se or its users
you publish material that infringes on third-party rights or violates Swedish law
we believe that you are violating the Terms of Use or our policies

Hifitorget.se reserves the right to continuously review ads and user accounts where the above measures may be implemented without prior notice to the user.

Reporting to the Swedish Tax Agency

Sales made through the Buyer Protection with shipping service fall under the DAC7 regulations, whereby hifitorget.se is obligated to report information to the Swedish Tax Agency.

Changes to the Terms of Use

We have the right to change the Terms of Use from time to time by publishing the new terms on hifitorget.se. You have the right to close your user account at any time. By continuing to use hifitorget.se after the updated Terms of Use take effect, you accept the new Terms of Use.

Account Closure

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use hifitorget.se. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes arising in connection with these terms shall primarily be resolved through negotiation between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute may be brought before a general court with Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance.
