Rules for Advertising

The rules for advertising on hifitorget.se are effective from August 9, 2025.

Introduction

hifitorget.se is a marketplace for used hi-fi equipment. This means that all products advertised must have a clear use within hi-fi and music. Ads that violate the rules may be removed without notice to the advertiser. When advertising on hifitorget.se, you must also follow our Terms of Use, in addition to the rules for advertising.

Private Ads

Private ads are for private individuals who, according to the Consumer Agency's rules, have the right to enter into agreements.

Business Ads

Business advertisers must comply with consumer protection laws and the recommendations of the General Complaints Board.

Advertising where any of the following criteria are met is considered business advertising:

  • The advertiser is a legal entity
  • The advertiser refers to their store, website, opening hours, price information, or similar
  • The advertiser acts in other ways suggesting they are actually acting as a business, where, for example, the name suggests that a business is behind the ad

Links in business ads should point to a specific product page and not the company's homepage or social media.

Personal Responsibility

The content of ads must not violate Swedish law or EU directives. For private ads, you are personally responsible for the content of published ads.

Ad Content

The ad must have a clear connection to hi-fi and music. It is only permitted to advertise used goods, demonstration items, or products that have been used in other ways. The ad text must describe the specific item and its condition being offered or sought in the ad. Marketing an ad on other classified ad or auction sites without the intention of selling the product via hifitorget.se is not permitted. Ad texts or images may not be copied from other ads. The ad title must briefly describe the item and must not contain unnecessary characters.

Examples of products that are not permitted to advertise:

  • Musical instruments
  • Televisions
  • Projectors or projection screens
  • Phones
  • Computers
  • NAS or other storage media with stored music files
  • General network components
  • Clones or copies of products
Marketing and Services

Advertising is permitted for specific, physical goods and products. It is not permitted to advertise services or to market a company.

Pirated Copies or Illegal Goods

It is not permitted to advertise products that copy trademarks or goods that are otherwise illegal.

Duplicates

It is not permitted to post multiple ads for the same item at the same time. Delete the old ad before posting the new one. Furthermore, it is also not permitted to post ads for the same items repeatedly with the purpose of appearing at the top of the ad list. Dozens or more ads posted at the same time are considered spam.

Remove Ad

You commit to removing your ad when the purpose of advertising has been achieved.

Offensive or Insulting Content

Ads with content that may be perceived as offensive or insulting to groups of people and/or individual individuals are not permitted.

Language

Permitted languages in ads are Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, and English.
